Nice one! I've been wondering when someone would submit one of these. They are quite common around Lake Burley Griffin at this time of year but aren't reported much for some reason. Black Mountain Peninsula is a good place to look for them but they are all around the lake shoreline, especially on gravelly or rocky edges. In fact I've found them around most of Canberra's larger waterbodies as well as the slower flowing rivers in places. It's interesting that you found a female, as the males are much more obvious than the females which tend to shelter in vegetation. According to the the national field guide, this species is not supposed to occur in Canberra but see my blog at http://hdpphd.blogspot.com.au/2015/12/inland-hunter-inexpectata.html
