The number of leaves in the rosette (6) and their freshness suggests Speculantha.

You think so? They didn't really look pointed like Speculantha. I guess I will have to wait until next year.

I am not sure Matt. Image 2 suggests quite a large colony, which is unlike Speculantha. I'm also not familiar with the area where you found them, assuming the map is showing the correct location.

Map looks to be correct. I don't know the area myself either. They were growing as a tight colony. We can leave this as unresolved.
