Hi Mike
It looks like a male Red-necked Wallaby. In this region, Macropus robustus (Wallaroo / Euro) are black (males) or pale grey (females). The reddish form of M robustus (euro) occurs much further to the west.

Thanks Don. I thought it was big for a wallaby so assumed wallaroo, not knowing the colour variation.

Has longer looking fur like Wallaroo too, but did you see the cheek stripe? Eastern greys and
wallaroos don't have that.
