The blue colour on the cap and the stem, along with the shape and size suggest a Psilocybe or Panaeolus species. They arnt usually that dark in colour, but can become very dark once they reach maturity. Did you manage to see the gill colour? Psilocybes (and some Panaelous species i believe) are psycho-active, and if it was seen at this time of year it is probably a Psilocybe subrugaenosa (think that is the spelling). Do not pick it or eat it. They are also know as blue meanies and are classified as class A drugs as soon as they are picked. If you are caught with them it is similar to being caught with other class A drugs (such as Cocaine and heroine) in the eyes of the law. look and admire, but don't touch :)
