A clear view of the labellum is needed to ID the species.

Help! I have an updated GPS location for this plant, and three more photos that more clearly show the labellum. I can't update the record because when I 'edit' it doesn't give me the 'abundance' drop down, so it won't let me save anything.

If you haven't already, you should message Aaron Clausen.

Aaron. Please have a look at this sighting. I made roachie a Trusted contributor when she requested the ability to edit GPS, but that doesn't solve the problem on this particular sighting. For other sightings, when you edit the sighting, the Presence & Abundance boxes are present. On this sighting, there when you try to edit it, those boxes are absent. Because the Presence & Abundance boxes are absent, when you try to edit it, the process doesn't complete. Perhaps she was able to sneak in the sighting without completing the abundance field, via the App?
Alison - sorry I didn't fully understand your problem before.

Hi guys, This one is now resolved. Thanks for letting me know. Yes it looks like a bug in the Android app that has allowed a sighting to be reported either without a mandatory Abundance value OR the app has failed to send the value through. I'll add this to be investigated with the pending smartphone app maintenance release. Cheers Aaron.

Thanks Aaron. Hi Alison - have another go at fixing the location and adding the extra photos.

Hello all. Thank you for the help. I have corrected the location and added more views of that plant. Hopefully the labellum is visible enough now?

Roachie thanks for all your help and patience. We're getting the Android app tightened up and I'll have your other sightings fixed as per your note to me later tonight. Cheers Aaron. You are our #1 future Android tester!

Bit late to the party, but a photo of the top of the labellum is best for diagnostic ID. On the basis of the shape of the flower, looks most like H. muticus to me, but not 100% sure.

Looking at this again, although none of the photos clearly show the base of the labellum to see the appendage, H. muticus is probably the most likely, especially as it has been sighted in the area.
