I wonder how to id the species from the photo? the other species that occurs in the ACT according to the 2017 census is Cymbonotus preissianus. The 2 species look similar to me ...
The only way to tell lawsoniaus from preissianus is by a good macro photo of the seed. They cannot be told apart from a photo of a flowering plant. I am doing this on my iPad, and can only copy one thing at a time, so will have to make two more comments.
