The location for this is in Black Mountain reserve just to the north of the gardens, up slope from the creek so I'm wondering why the system is saying I was in the gardens. Is there some question over the reserve/gardens boundary?
As far as I'm aware the location where this was found is part of the reserve. There is an area between Black Mountain Drive and Parkes Way which has been gazetted as part of the gardens but not developed.
Hi guys, my bad. You just alerted me to a small bug. We had been working on loading in a new polygon for the botanical gardens area, but it was disabled, but was still being processed in the background despite being disabled. Have fixed that now - thanks. This particular sighting lies only *just* outside the formal borders that we have for Black Mountain, probably literally by a few metres max, so it does not resolve to Black Mountain officially, despite basically being there. This just comes down to the official borders supplies from ACT Gov for this nature park.
Thanks Aaron, I have a couple of other reports to make for this area. Do I just continue on the expectation that these may eventually be corrected in the system?
On another matter is it possible to edit a location once a record has been posted or do I have to delete the confirmed record and repost?
Ken
Hi Ken, Yeah please continue, If updated coordinates/polygons are received from ACT Gov, then yes we have a way to retrospectively re-calculate all sightings within the newly updated boundaries. Nothing will be lost in terms of sighting data etc. And yes if you also click the "Edit" button from any of your sightings and then scroll down to the bottom area, you should see an area where the Location is editable for you. You can edit/tidy up your own sighting's locations for example etc. But let me know if you come across any issues etc. Cheers Aaron.
