Author's notes

This is an evening report of the same nestlings I reported at https://canberra.naturemapr.org/Community/Sighting/4184438 The adult birds were higher in the tree chewing on bark. The two nestlings were basically in a similar position to how they had been in the morning. The only difference was the two nestlings also appeared to be gnawing at the bark around them although it was not clear what they were doing with the bark. The adults did not come down to the hollow, although the male did move closer to it while I was watching.
