About 50 shrubs on dacite cliff face on north side of Molonglo River, just upstream of Butters foot bridge and sewer line

The best population I have found so far is to the south of Pine Island, at least 200 plants:

Asperula ambleia (Stiff woodruff) on 15 Oct 2017

Michaels - are you sure this isn't Cryptandra speciosa in heavy bud as you'd expect in June? Very different plant to the other pics in Asperula ambleia!

I thought it looked unusual for the species but I didn't look at it closely and took Michael M's expertise for granted. I think you are quite right.

I have had my doubts too though I would not go as far as saying it is Cryptandra speciosa. The leaves and their arrangement are not clear. It should be in flower now. Another look at it?

I'm going down to Pine Island this week to have a look and get some photos. It would be useful to know what Asperula ambleia looks like in winter.
