User's notes

Start time: 2.25 pm End Time: 3.02 pm Seen on Flowers ID 4552083: Gum Tree Shield Bug Poecilometis strigatus confirmed on cassinia ID 4552085: native bee Lassioglossum (?) on sticky everlasting daisy Seen but not on Flowers Meadow argus butterfly Junonia villida - 2 Common brown butterfly Heteronympha merope - 5 Flowers Centaurium erythraea, common centaury, 2 plants only Xerochrysum viscosum, sticky everlasting daisy in a small clump of 5 maybe 6 plants Cassinia is seeding not flowering The survey site now has next to no flowers as the cassinia and burgan have finished flowering so not surprisingly we saw very few pollinators. I would be hesitant to draw any conclusions about Bluett's Block based on this survey site which is very scrubby - quite a lot of birds and other insects (e.g. dragonflies) but not pollinators. Nearby areas have more flowers and presumably more pollinators. Given the lack of flowering plants seen this month, we will do one more survey mid-March not the two (early and late March) we were planning.
