Tricholoma terreum (Grey Knight or Dirty Tricholoma)

The fruitbody is a mushroom, with a cap atop a central stem. The dry, grey to grey-brown cap may grow to 8 centimetres across and is covered with short, radially-aligned hairs, giving it a somewhat furry to velvety feel. The cap is convex to flat, often with a slight hump in the centre. The gills are white, with irregular edges. The white to pale grey stem may grow to 8 centimetres tall and 1-2 wide.

There is neither a partial nor a universal veil.

Spore print: white.
