@MarkH @KorinneM Hi Mark, This is the same beetle as Korinne's sighting that you are asking her to go back out and collect specimens. Do you still need the specimens?

Neocuris sp. (genus) (A jewel beetle)

Hi Alison, if you have spares I would love a couple too please, as I'd like to photograph this alive myself if at all possible. Cheers, Allen M. Sundholm OAM

Hi Allen, Wish we could accommodate you but we only managed to collect four and Mark would like six so has requested we send them all to him. as he is working on some project re: re-classification etc, at least this is my limited understanding. His correspondence has been with Korinne.
Regards

@entom2 Thanks Allen, I know Mark is in WA but where are you? Korinne and I have been out to Bungonia four times now and it is more than a one hour drive from Canberra so I don't think she will be going out again any time soon. I completely rely on her as both the driver for IDing these beetles and literally the driver of the car as I don't personally have a licence, but will see if others in the area find these beetles.

Hi Alison, understand perfectly, I am mostly a 'stay-at-home' these days. I am in Sydney. Has anyone been checking out patches of bush for various beetles close to Canberra, such as Black Mountain, Mount Ainslie, and Mount Jerrabomberra? Also, people should keep a lookout on the flowers of Bursaria, Leptospermum / Gaudium, Angophora, and Eucalyptus, as it seems to be a very good season for a whole range of jewel beetles your way. All the very best, Allen
