User's notes

Once again, the galahs surprised me! I assumed that both young had fledged, and no-one was in the hollow - when, lo, there was a little head, curiously assessing its surrounds. I assume that either: this is the younger of the two seen a week ago; or there was a third chick deeper in the hollow when I first noticed the young. When the parents came in, late in the evening (7.50pm), another two galahs also flew to the next door tree. One of them did not seem steady on the branch - I assumed this was the new fledgling. However, ten minutes later I couldn't find them. Then, once one of the adults had entered the hollow for the night, the other one flew to a nearby acorn tree, where there was much calling and chatter - I assume from the young one(s) recently fledged.
