Pileus surface, stipe and gill colour may indicate a Russula - great finger nail!!;)

@pam oh hmm, yes, maybe it is an old one. Thought I could see a hint of rust underneath, but now I'm questioning. Thank you, they are stick on, hehe.

I suspect that discolouration on the stipe is either due to age or damage. Those lines/rows of dots on the pileus are typical of a certain group of Russula though not seen in Cortinarius spp. which have a smoother or more fibrousy surface. The colour of the pileus is not what people typically associate with Russula. Good find - well done!!
