When checking before posting I queried that it was the WA plant

The seeds are dispersed by fruit eating birds such as currawongs and it is quite widespread as a weed in the north Canberra and Red Hill areas - I suspect it came via bird pooh - especially if you found it under a tree amongst a "halo" of other bird shit flora.
