I do not believe this is L. continentale because the leaves are not tapering and prickly but quite soft. They are not widest at the base and tapering to a point and at their widest point some are over 3mm wide. Some of the many trees in the thicket are up to 3 metres (approx) high.
I have seen both L. continentale and polygalifolium before and believe this is the latter. Also its dense colonising habit.
Sorry my photography is not clearer.

Luke, Lyndal is right regarding the leaves not tapering or being prickly. Lyndal, your suggested species does not occur in the ACT. This is L.brevipes

Information on L. brevipes is difficult to find. PlantNet (RBGS) call it Gaudium brevipes, PlantNet information on this species calls the flowers and fruit much smaller than on this specimen .These flowers are 15mm diameter and the fruit is 9-10 mm diameter. The fruit and pedicel have no sign of "silkiness".
All features match L. polygalifolium. Would you like more photos? One of these trees is very easy to find right on the edge of the old Weetangera Rd through Fleabog.

Right ok, with flowers and fruit like that I might need a nice slice of humble pie. I had presumed it was a local species, but the extra photos confirm that isn't the case. You were right in the first place Lyndal.
