It doesn't seem to have the typical markings of Ocrisiona leucocomis on the abdomen and it may by Holoplatys sp - I will try to have a closer look and get back to you (hopefully within the next few weeks)
Thanks for picking up on that. I'm not sure whether this info will help in the ID, but I watched the spider emerge from under some bark and attempt to catch a cicada about it's own size.
Unfortunately, I can't distinguish between the two genus on behavioural notes, however, thank you for the extra information! Both Ocrisiona and Holoplatys species have similar behavioural tendencies, including location (eg. tree trunks & logs), hunting methods and prey. I have confirmed it as Ocrisiona sp, but as I am not 100% sure, it may be reviewed and changed in the future.
