I have more photos if needed for identification. Tossing up between what I put as the ID and Lasioglossum (Parasphecodes) leichardti based on the photos here.

Unfortunately, Lasioglossum hiltacum is one of the species that can be separated only with the aid of a microscope. L. leichardti can be identified (not with 100% certainty) by the orange hair on the thorax and L. bryotrichum by the paler colour of the abdomen, but many other L. (Parasphecodes) species can be separated only by detailed examination.

@michael.batley Very interesting! I have to admit that my default thought was that it had to be a wasp on initial look. So interesting to see what different bees look like.
