GPSed. Height 60cm+. Last two pics capture (start approx centre bottom of each pic) most of plant from base (alternating margins looking wavy or scalloped with small teeth?) to flower. As usual a struggle with Wahlenbergia species - other guesses W. stricta subsp. stricta or possibly W. capillaris or W. ceracea?
Or possibly W.gracilis. W.stricta has a hairy calyx, W.capillaris has calyx lobes that are significantly longer and more slender & W.ceracea occurs only in subalpine bogs so we are a couple hundred metres to low.
Thanks T'Lord. Yes the issues re the calyx were playing on my mind. I had also considered W. planifora but looking at what detail (or lack there of) I did have of the leaves at the base of the plant it didn't jump out at me as this species. I guess the lesson for me with Wahlenbergia species is to get good detail shots of the plant base and pay more attention to the identifying characteristics of the inflorescence.
