I think this is Molytria vergranda based on A Guide to the Cockroaches of Australia by David Rentz p82.
Molytria vergranda has pronotum distinctively marked. The species also fits the known distribution.

More likely male perplexa based on size and prothorax pattern

I've been looking and comparing this group of sightings, and while there is variation of pronotum and tegmen patterns, they are definately more characteristic of M.perplexa, so I'm going with that. They were mostly in family groups which will allow me identify instars as well.
Thanks for your help Roger.
