Hey Ciaran - how confident are you of this identification? It isn’t in Our Patch and I want to make sure that it isn’t one of our known species before I mention it to FOAB
Pretty confident, those juvenile leaves are unlike any of our local eucs. Other's may suggest this is Euc.viminalis (ribbon gum), but that species has much more slender juvenile leaf growth and doesn't form bark like this in young trees. The best way to be sure would be to photograph the fruit.
E. elata is definitely not going to be native or naturally occurring at Aranda Bushland, or even in the ACT, it naturally occurs along the south coast and into Vic.
