I haven't seen a megachile bee with a silver grey bottom, this guy was about 8 to 10 mm in size.

This is either M. ordinaria or M. tasmanica. The latter is a little smaller but both are in the suggested size range. The only way to separate females of these two species is to look for a tubercle above the mandibles, which can be hard to see even with a microscope.
