Butterfly flew into yard then around the pergola area for a good couple of minutes. Appeared to be looking for somewhere safe to land. This was pretty mesmerising to watch.
Then saw it landed on this leaf, low in the tree and well protected. Let it sit for a while before going to take photo.
This was shortly after decent rain and the butterfly appeared soaked. Stood and watched from a distance for a period of time in case it opened its wings, but this was the best photos I could get before having to head off to do other things…
