Female gang gang chewing bark around a hollow. Heard another gang gang, but only saw this one.

Julie checked out the area this morning and located an active Gang-gang nest - thanks for the heads up - so far we have identified 18 in teh Canberra area this year.

Hi michael, this must be the pair I spotted a couple of times in the same area in the past months see Callocephalon fimbriatum (Gang-gang Cockatoo) There was quite a bit of chewed bark near the site but I didn't see them enter a hollow. I'll keep an eye on them.

It is about average but we are still early in the season - I think we are getting better at finding them rather than an increase in the number of nests
