Looks a bit like Philotheca myoporoides subsp. brevipedunculata.
Note that leaves of a small Hibberta obtusifolia can be seen in some images. Some of the latter on this slope are also in bud at present.
Yes, I think Brachyloma daphnoides is a good match, having now found some other photos of it with partially opened buds. And something I guess we would expect to find along that slope. By the way, there are dozens of young H. obtusifolia along that slope, like the one that photo-bombed this sighting; single stem, 10 to 20 cm tall. It augurs well for a nice display in spring.
