It perhaps could be, there are a few brownish coloured examples on the ALA, however most are pallid or whitish in appearance and fresh, therefore with clear markings. This one looks to worn to be sure, I think.
I think we should move this sighting from 'Proteuxoa (genus) cutworm moths' to 'Proteuxoa (genus) a Noctuid moth', as I think it is the only sighting in the former category whereas I think there are 37 in the latter. Then perhaps we can delete the former duplicate entry or rename it something less confusing.
