We suppose this is a Common Garden Skink because that is the most common variety in our front yard.
Several tiny skinks emerged as we shifted the soil and then we exposed the eggs and an apparent newborn. We rebuilt the soil mound around the eggs and await results.
Yes that is correct Kevin. Good to get a breeding record. In backyards, the eggs are often laid in compost heaps where the warmth helps with development.
