Suzi, I'm not sure what this is? I initially thought it was a fresh and brightly coloured Marbled Xenica as it was that size, but upon looking at this photo at home, I think it is something different but couldn't find anything that matched in your field guide.

Wow good find for that location! It's a male Spotted Brown, check out the forewing pattern of your specimen against page 151 of the field guide.
