I have my doubts about this ID. As we know there are a lot of moth species with a similar looking colour scheme. Moth examples I see of H. hemicalypta online have a more acute, backward sloping boundary between the black and yellow colouration with a wavy boundary line between the two, This boundary line is more vertical and has a straighter boundary.

I agree that there are differences Ian. The other difference is that this one has no hint of yellow on its head while Hemibela hemicalypta does. I looked for quite while to see if I could find a good match but failed. See also my sighting 4357653 which I think could be the same but might be different again and is as yet unidentified after more that a year.

I think it is the same as 4357653 which I failed to match when i tried earlier. Can't identify it beyond Oecophorinae.
