User's notes

Fireweed along small track on a plateau; all Fireweed spotted from track approximately 50 m either side of track hand removed and bagged and taken off-site (deposed off in rubbish bin). I took the first and fifth photos on-site; the second, third and fourth at a friends place to help with id confirmation. The area requires a more thorough search. Recreational horse riding observed in the area before 2019/2020.

I went back and took more photos and collected material. After inspecting the material, Isobel C messaged it is not the invasive fireweed S. madagascariensis. I will upload better photos with id when Isobel has finished id.

That was a big lesson for me.
The correct id has been done by NSW rangers. The good news is that there are more specimens in that area...
