Checking a previous possible nesting hollow with no activity. Aspect of hollow possibly flooded in rain. While there a Gang Gang flew over from the east. About two hours later this bird flew back and landed near the hollow I was watching,, however after 10 minutes or so flew off further east. I managed to find it again entering this hollow then sitting guard at the entrance. Possibly a female sitting on eggs or chicks.
Many thanks Alison. This would appear to be a site that I am aware of but difficult to assess what is going on. I was in the area Wednesday afternoon and there was a male and a pair in the same area so all rather confusing. In addition to this site, there are a couple of others in the same area so there could be much territorial behaviour going on. The independent reporting of sites is excellent for it gives some confidence that we have a general idea of where gg's are breeding.
Thanks Chris, When I was watching the other site there was also a pair and an extra male hanging round, down towards this current site, but no other female.
