Nice sighting! This is an unusual one with the blackish post anther lobe, reminds me of the one that was uploaded earlier in the season (see discussion at Thelymitra sp. aff. cyanapicata (Blue Top Sun-orchid)). Do you have a photo of the leaf for this plant? The conclusion on that earlier sighting was T sp. pauciflora complex so we might have to go with this here too
see listing under Fed legislation: https://www.environment.gov.au/cgi-bin/sprat/public/publicspecies.pl?taxon_id=81872 would it make sense to try to take photos of leaves or other structures? just to make sure it is the above species. Also, alert Parks Service? we asked in the past to ensure that high conservation sites are not used for orienteering etc to avoid trampling critically endangered species.
Hi waltraud That species is considered restricted to a small area in South Australia. The use of sp. aff. in the Thelymitra sp. aff. cyanapicata indicates the local species is yet underscribed and is like Thelymitra cyanapicata. We do have photos of the leaf etc. from other plants in this group and they very similar to the SA species. I have raised this plant with others with the Department and am awaiting a response. I will let you know we I have a reply.
