Nesting Gang-gangs in Curtin today!

Nesting doesn't start till October - but they are checking out and preparing hollows at the moment. Preparation is the chewing of bark which they drop into the hollow forming a fine sawdust layer of up to 10cm from the hollow bottom. They usually check out multiple hollows and also they are a source of water as hollows like these often collect and pool rainwater. Would be very interested in any further Gang-gang sightings at this hollow. We are currently conducting research into Gang-gang nesting ecology and would very much appreciate sightings of Gang-Gangs in and around hollows and also any time you see them eating we would like a photo as we are building up information on their diet and how that may differ near nest trees.
