Definitely not Wedge-tailed Eagle feathers, but hard to tell from this photo alone. Do you have any other photos with the feathers neatly displayed that you could provide? This could help with identification.
Thank you for the extra photo of the feathers, my expert is completely convinced these are turkey feathers. As Mike suggests, this is likely to be the result of a fox or perhaps a dog.
Just a final clarification on the decision process that was undertaken for this sighting:
My “expert on feathers” (Philip Veerman) was able to immediately rule out Wedge-tailed Eagle (or any kind of raptor) and could not suggest any native species that fits. He thought it was likely some kind of pheasant or turkey but on the first photo it was hard to be sure. With the clearer photo of 1 primary and 2 tail feathers with the scale included, it is now very clear on consulting references that they exactly fit the domestic turkey. Also suggesting that the pet or farm bird probably escaped from nearby and the evidence suggests it was killed there by a dog or fox. Its origins are likely to be nearby and it should not be too hard to find the former owner if anyone is motivated to do so.
