While this moth moth looks quite similar to Dasygaster padockina ( and that is a variable species) , I'm wondering whether it might be closer to D. melambaphes (a species which has been recorded in the ACT less commonly, and also occurs in Tasmania. The reniform and orbicular marks look to me much larger in this moth a feature that seems to be shown by several examples D. melamphebes (a Species Inquienda moth) on the ALA.

D. melambaphes is distinguished, according to Turner, by its "short blackish median streak from the base". I do not see that on 4377390.

When I compared this photo with the type photo of D. melambaphes, there was a strong resemblance. But I think this record has been well dealt with. I've added a comment on the species page for D. padockina pointing out that there are other similar and variable species, so more than one species may be on that species page.
