Very similar to behrii, distinguished by the more ochreous ground colour, the golden-metallic edging of transverse band forming three separate spots, and the ochreous-yellow and whitish streaks towards inner margin.

Given Meyrick's words above I suspect this may be E. chrysoporella along with 2 or 3 which we have already identified as E. behrii. The AlA shows the distribution of the two species overlapping with many more records of E. behri than E. chrysoporella.

Comparing groups of Etiella chrysoporella and behri, the most distinguishing character is the ochreous-yellow and whitish streaks towards inner margin on the outer third of the forewing in E. chrysoporella. This area is a plain or a lightly streaked grey in E. behrii. The three reflective circular spots are prominent in both sexes of E. chrysoporella, but also appear in most males of E. behrii. In E. behrii females they are much harder to see, or may be absent.
