At Mulligans Flat. This creature is about 3-5mm long & bobs its tail up and down.

Definitely didn't look like a ladybird, especially the way it bobbed it's back-end up and down. No sign of wings or wing covers. Legs are different and in a different location from a ladybird. What about the three concertina-type lines across the front of its back that close up when it lifts its tail.

WindyHen, it is a nymph. I too was shocked when i first saw and photographed one and posted on here for an id and found out it was a Ladybird :)
