User's notes

seen hanging from a thread on a wooden post near compost heaps. It climbed onto the post and ran around doing threatening poses, quite a plucky little thing and not at all afraid. Did not jump at all just ran around and stood up at tall as it could making itself as big as possible and also showing a lot of bum up moves. Still there when I left.

just updated this to a Wolf Spider as just got an ID from Aust Spider ID. It did not come up on the ID here after though. Anyhow hope this may help to ID it a bit further with the expertise we have here. Thank you very much for all the time and effort you put into the IDs on the wildlife, it is greatly appreciated.

Thanks Helen. Never ceases to amaze how brave such little creatures are, even the birds fending off unwanted visitors. Nature sure is amazing and we are so lucky to have such wonderful creatures here.
