Not sure if the locations of Bush Stone-curlew eggs are already tracked, but it seems that this might be one. Just after flushing 2 Bush Stone-curlews from the vicinity, a small nest site with 1 egg was discovered on the ground. We made sure to keep our distance from the nest so as not to disturb it but found the egg looks very similar to internet images of Bush Stone-curlew eggs and the nest site fits descriptions too. As they were with me, TapirLord was able to take the second, zoomed in photograph of the egg.
Thanks for this sighting! I'm working my way back through all the records on nature map. Sightings of nests are rare and very important. This pair continued to breed the following two years so they are doing well.
