User's notes

Ants photographed near their hole. They looked very yellow and were extremely fast. They seemed to jump and disappear and were very difficult to catch in a photo.

Well spotted Cath - another new species for CNM! These ants are reasonably common around the region but you normally see them in the evening rather than the day. Cheers, Jon

Thanks Jon. These photos were taken after 6 pm which is not far off sunset these days. It would explain why I could find no sign of them when I went back mid-morning to try to get better pictures!
