Although not stated, you seem to have implied, correctly, that this is a female. But it's a Wandering Ringtail. It's also very early for the new season - a month earlier than my expectations. Interestingly, we also had some of the latest records for a few species at the end of last season, too.
Thanks Harvey, for identifying her. The male landed on my hat, Rod and Shorty who was also there at the time watched it fly off as I shooed it away as I thought it was a mozzie, darn. However luckily Rod found a female who posed for us nicely. We were all surprised to see a Damselfly in August.
