Herbarium collection HL6315 at CANB

This is an example of a Bovista with a well-developed, cord-like anchoring strand. You see that well in the fruit body at the upper left of Photo 3. Soil adheres to the hyphae that make up that cable-like strand and all fruit bodies were still quite firmly attached to the ground. An attempt at an ID to species left me unsatisfied, so for now it’ll have to stay just as genus.
