I have confirmed it on the basis of the river habitat. However, to make absolutely certain it is obovatum rather than micromyrtus, you should look at the bark and make field notes or take photos. Obovatum has fibrous bark on older stems, that does not shed, the smaller stems shedding in stringy strips.Micromyrtus has smooth bark on the larger stems, shedding in papery strips, the bark on the smaller stems shedding in papery flakes.
Well maybe micromyrtus after all ? Photos 2 and 5 (#5 has just been added) seem to be more consistent with micromyrtus ? (When photo is enlarged, it shows small flakes on small stems, older stems relatively smooth)
