User's notes

These two Datura plants are located just inside the construction fence of the upper Monash rain garden site between Corlette Cres and Charleston St on the eastern side. While they have been poisoned they are in situ with mature seed pods just opening the first is still upright halfway down and the second is prostrate near the bottom end of the construction site

The number and even sizes of the spines make it Datura stramonium. Try to get someone to bag and dispose of the seeds. This is a common weed of 'landscaping' material which is simply dug out of creek and river beds. Look out for Bathurst burr as well.
