We were driving W along Kaveneys Rd when we spotted 6 eagles to the S. By the time we parked the car, 1 pair took off to the N, calling overhead. The next pair followed in that general direction soon after. It was not possible to get good photos of these birds due to the sun, time frame and distance. The last pair soared around long enough to get some reasonable shots. We got the impression that it was a mixture of adults and juveniles.
Thanks for the additional info. Maybe some especially nice carrion attracted them all. I agree because of difficulties of photographic conditions, the best guess is your impression of mixture of adults and juveniles, with, I suspect, the emphasis on adults.
