Yes, all 3 photos are of the same bird, they were taken on the same day, we were amazed how different this Great Egret could look and how short his neck would go. Also we have not seen an Intermediate Egret at Jerrabomberra Wetlands this year. Have only seen 1 Great Egret but have heard that someone else had seen 2 Great Egrets on one day, but the photos here are of the same bird we saw on 22 Feb 2018. Actually put the other photos on so it would definitely show it was a Great Egret, as when we looked at the first photo we had similar thoughts to your comment above, but all photos are of the same bird.
Have added a 4th photo just after the Great Egret finished his fluff up and you can see the distinctive flick behind the eye much better. Hope this helps.
