There was a nest about but I don't think the nest we found is the Sparrowhawk's.
They are seen fairly regularly in the hay shed after mice.

Looks to me as though this bird has a round tail therefore a Brown Goshawk. Could you confirm that all photos are of the same bird. Photo 4 has a feather missing from the right wing but not shown on other aerial shots. Also this particular bird may have a square tail. Chris

Hi Chris very perceptive comment about the 2 birds. I agree with the shape of the tails. I only saw one bird that day but it was flying in and out of trees. It is possible there were 2 birds because Sally saw 2 the day before but didn't observe the tails. I will keep my eyes open. Peter
