Hibbertia riparia in the ACT is now Riparia stricta. Advice from Rosemary Purdie based on the 2012 revision of calycina and stricta is that calycina has simple hairs (unbranched, and not several hairs arising from a single point) overtopping star hairs (several hairs arising from a single point) on the calyx (sepals) of the flowers. ACT plant census 2017, which came out a couple of days ago, has the note that the identity of plants referred to Hibbertia calycina or Hibbertia stricta in the ACT is not fully resolved.
