Slightly hairy especially underside of leaves, paler underneath. I don't know what it is but I am trying unsuccessfully to record multiple sightings on my phone.

Stems look angular? Maybe Budleja (sometimes spelled Buddleia).

Seems right. It wasn't one I had considered. It is probably growing slowly in the shadeof the pines but I will check for flowers in spring.
