It seems to me that Sun Orchids aren't all that easy to ID. What particular features are helpful in photos?

Yes, it seems none of my photos from Majura are able to be identified. I'd be interested to know more about necessary features too.

Yes, they are difficult to identify with certainty. A close-up of the column, if possible showing the shape of the column arms, is important. Also, infomation about the leaf, its size, shape,colour, whether smooth, ribbed or channelled, can be helpful.

Unfortunately the several sun orchids recorded at this location so far have been ID'd as Thelymitra sp !
